We've only got 1 more unit until we take the STAAR test! We will take the practice test on Tuesday of next week. This will let me know what units you need the most help with :)

Interdependency
Level 2= Use the link below to complete the Level 2 form and ecosystem map! Ecosystem Examples

Level 3= Use the article ( Symbiosis Article ) to get a basic idea of what each of the 3 types of Symbiosis are. 
Next watch the video ( Symbiosis Video ) to see the types!
Lastly, with your group, come up with 3 examples of each (3 parasitism, 3 mutualism, 3 commensalism)

Environmental Change
Level 2 AND 3= Use the images ( Environmental Change Images ) to fill in how this will cause a change in the environment ( Environmental Change Form )

Level 3 ONLY= Look through the article below to read about catch and release fishing ( Catch and Release Fishing )

  • Is this something we should be doing? Why or why not?
  • Does this help preserve and protect our environment or does it hurt it more?
  • Do you think people will be willing to practice the catch and release technique instead? Why or why not?

    • Open your notebooks to your Weather vs Climate Notes. Match up these cards again with one group of Weather, and the other group Climate.

Weather and Climate Day 2!

Hey kiddos! Today you will be choosing anywhere in the world and making a travel brochure for that location to convince tourists to come visit! :)            

Requirements:

  • Choose 1 city (can be in the U.S. or another country)
  • Find the weather during the day and at night
  • Weather= Temperature, Wind Speed, Humidity, Precipitation, Cloud Cover
  • Find which climate zone your city is in= Temperate, Tropical, Polar
  • What is this climate like? Warm and Wet? Changes every season? Cold and Dry?
  • What kinds of plants and animals live in this climate region?
  • Include pictures, color, and fun things to do in that city
